This makes me sad too. I verbally moaned when I saw it. I hope people will truly search out both sides of the issue so they can be informed voters. There are only 12 days before people vote. Prop 8 is not an issue of thinking gays are lesser or different, but rather disagreeing with the choices they are making in their lives.

This is a very apt comparison.
"You can sit in the back of the bus, but not the front. That's for us."
If being a bigot and trying to enact discrimination into our Consititution makes you sad, perhaps you should stop being a bigot.
Dictionary: bigot, n.
: a person obstinately or intolerantly devoted to his or her own opinions and prejudices ; especially : one who regards or treats the members of a group (as a racial or ethnic group) with hatred and intolerance
Dictionary: tolerance, n.
The capacity for or the practice of recognizing and respecting the beliefs or practices of others; Leeway for variation from a standard.
We live in America. We have the freedom to voice our opinuions. We should be able to do so without being called childish names. No one who runs this blog is bigoted or intolerant. Those who insist on labeling us bigots for having a different opinion are in fact personifying their attempted insult.
There were PLENTY of churches and people in this country who were absolutely APPALLED that blacks were treated like whites. In fact, I believe the LDS church was one of them, no? The majority of black people could not hold the priesthood until the church was about to lose its tax-exempt status, right?
What about all those protesters who protested against civil rights for all people? This is very much the same.
